High lubricity copper stainless steel alloy - bearing material HLS20

A revolutionary sliding bearing material with added strength made of bronze and aluminum.

The copper stainless steel bearing material HLS20 is a stainless steel-based bearing material characterized by the inclusion of copper. During axial movement, trace amounts of copper precipitate on the surface, serving the role of oil, making it a groundbreaking oil-less bearing material that reduces friction heat. Moreover, it is more cost-effective than phosphor bronze while enhancing performance, making it a very user-friendly material. With the cooperation of a bearing manufacturer, a wear test was conducted for 17 days with 5 million reciprocations using SUJ2 for the shaft and HLS20 for the bearing, resulting in a maximum temperature difference of +3°C. Features of MTA-HLS20: 1. A copper stainless steel alloy containing 20% copper, with excellent castability and machinability. 2. Equipped with high melting point, high corrosion resistance, and dirt-repellent properties, making it ideal for high temperatures, corrosion, and marine environments. 3. Possesses high strength characteristics and excellent wear resistance and precision maintenance in high-load usage environments. 4. Usable without solid lubricants like carbon, significantly reducing processing costs associated with carbon insertion. 5. While priced similarly to bronze alloy materials, it offers superior wear and corrosion resistance compared to copper alloys. 6. Solves friction/wear issues in mechanical parts, reducing production costs and improving mechanical performance. 7. Can be used for long periods without lubrication, generating no friction heat, and can be downsized from existing bush sizes.
